There
are 11 single rooms & 2 doubles, all with wash basins, 3 bathrooms
with wc's and three separate toilets, Snooker room with full size
table, conservatory dining room, breakfast room, living room (cable
TV), laundry room, patio area for BBQ's & office. All the
rooms are light and airy and furnished in keeping with the character
of the house and with the current regulations.
There is a friendly local post office nearby; The Hill road shopping
area is within walking distance. Layde bay is 100yrds from the
property with its own pebble beach and steps leading to it.
We have our own transport, and driver available Monday to Friday
to enable the resident's access to the local community when needed.
Our
residents have a full activity programme in the evenings, offering
them the opportunity to enjoy any of the following:
Skittles,
local cinemas, out for a meal, shopping expedition, gateway club
on a Wednesday, swimming at the local sports centre on Friday
evenings, birthday parties, and theme night discos. Once a year
we hold a BBQ for the residents friends and family, this is organized
by residents with the support of staff.
We
like to involve the residents as much as possible in the organization
of their holidays, we firstly hold a residents meeting where they
are given a voice to let us know where they would like to go,
staff who are going on holiday also bring in brochures for them
to pick the holiday of their choice.
We
hold a residents meeting every 2-3 months or when ever the need
should arise, our residents get the opportunity to discuss any
issues they may have, or even just to let us know what they would
like to see on the menus.
Day
centres:
All residents attend the local day centres and we are able to
access these either privately or through Social Services Monday
- Friday, on the days that they do not attend they will stay home
and help in the daily running of the home.
Fees:
At present our fees are, £321.00 to £600.00 depending
on the level of care.
